Heather Louise Leake, 50, of Iola, Kansas, passed away March 12, 2026, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
Heather was born February 28, 1976, in Topeka, Kansas, to Pat and Vereta McDowell.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Leake; her daughters, Allie Cornell, Jessica Fulton, Victoria Koch, Amanda Koch, and Alexa Leake; her son, Tyler Leake; and her stepson, Joe Harris. She is also survived by her parents, Vereta McDowell and Patrick McDowell; her brothers, Jeremy McDowell and Fredrick McDowell; and her sister, Melissa Long.
Heather was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lewis and Myrtle Wilson and Fred and Dorothy McDowell.
A Celebration of Life for Heather will be held at a later date.
