Harriet J. “Trinket” Harding

Harriet J. "Trinket" Harding, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, July 6th, 2016 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. She was 74. She was born August 14th, 1941, to James Ernest "Ernie" & Lennie Caroline "Pete" Billings. Trinket was a graduate of Seaman High School. She married Eldon LeRoy Harding, also of Topeka, on June 2nd, 1961. She worked for Shawnee County for 34 years and retired as the Financial Administrator in March of 2005. She was known as an energetic little lady who put 110% into anything she did. Trinket loved cooking, sewing, KU Basketball, and spending time with her grandsons.

Survivors include her husband, Eldon; a daughter, Ashley (Casey) Hetrick; three grandsons: Keaton (6), twins Nikolaus & Rowan (3) Hetrick, and a niece, Michelle (Billings) Shultz. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Heather Erika; her parents, James & Lennie Billings; two brothers: Richard "Dick" Billings and Donald "Donnie" Billings; and a niece, Robbin (Billings) Halstead.

The family is planning to set up a celebration of life event in mid-August, as Trinket did not want a funeral service. In lieu of flowers, please send any donations to an organization of your choice, in her name.
