Harold O. Taylor Jr of Vassar, Kansas died June 16, 2021 at his home. He was 86 years old.

He was born April 14, 1935 in Stockton, Mo., to Harold Taylor Sr and Marie (Taylor) Gochanour.

He joined the Navy and served 4 years. He was stationed in Guam and served on a tender ship.

After working a couple of years for the railroad he started working for Proctor and Gamble where he worked until he retired in 1994.  Harold and his wife have lived in Vassar, Ks since 1995.

He married Janice Elliot and they have 4 Children, but later divorced.

He was joined in marriage to Nancy A. Seimears Dunaway June 16, 1979 and daughter Linda who he later adopted.

Harold was a member of Michigan Valley Community Church Quenemo, Ks. He loved fishing, hunting, watching football, KU basketball, Royals baseball.  He loved spending time with his family, he coached his boys football teams, and he enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Donald and a brother Ralph, and several Brother and Sister in laws.

He is survived by his wife Nancy of the home, son Michael Taylor (Pam), daughter Michelle Porter, son Patrick Taylor (Candace), son Paul Taylor (Julie) and daughter Linda McGowin (Bo).

Grandchildren: James Taylor (Taylor), Andrew Taylor (Lisa), Stephanie Almanza, Anthony Porter, CheyAnn Early, Blaze Taylor, Olivia Taylor-VanMeter (Brad), Austin Case (Mallory), Sadie McGowin, Jake McGowin, Chris McGowin, Matt McGowin (Lacey), Nathan McGowin and Austin McGowin.

Great Grandchildren: Henry Taylor, Sierra Almanza, Riggin Early, Remington Early, Renly Early, Creedence VanMeter, Lynyx VanMeter, Carter Case, Natalie McGowin, Rush McGowin, Cherish McGowin, Corbin McGowin, and Hope McGowin.

Celebration of life will be held July 10, 2021 at 1pm at Michigan Valley Community Church 6485 E 221st St., Quenemo, Ks.
