Harold “Harry” Raymond Allen

Harold "Harry" Raymond Allen 89, Valley Falls passed away February 26, 2016 surrounded by his loving family.

He was the son of Warren & Elizabeth Allen. Harold was born February 3, 1927 in Ventura, CA.

Harold was a veteran of World War II. He spent most of his life as a carpenter & millwright for Senne Construction.

He loved wood working and enjoyed making baby cradles for the newborns in his family. He also enjoyed donating some of his wood work to charity & local benefits.

Harry was an avid cribbage and card player. He enjoyed family and friends stopping by to try their turn at beating the odds.

He married Evelyn Allen January 17th, 1953. She survives at the home.

Harold was preceded in death by his sister Juanita Schneider and a granddaughter Jody Allen.

He was so proud of his large family including 6 children: Sandy (John) Schonfeldt, Carey Kern, Tom (Christie) Allen, Linda (Rex) Foley, Ed (Shirley) Allen, Curt (Heather) Allen, 22 grandchildren, and 33 great-grandchildren.

Harry's family would like to welcome family and friends to a Celebration of Life Luncheon on Sunday, March 6th from 1:00-4:00 at Kearney & Son Inc. 15156 K4 Highway Valley Falls. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
