Gerald Francis Dinnen

Gerald Francis Dinnen, 75, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at Midland Hospice.

Jerry was born January 31, 1945 in Topeka, Kansas, the son of James and Helen (Morrissey) Dinnen. He graduated from Maur Hill-Mount Academy in Atchison, Kansas in 1963 and attended Washburn University.

Jerry proudly served this country in the United States Navy, including a tour in Vietnam.

Jerry married Carol Arnold on October 17, 1970 in Perry, Kansas. He is survived by his wife and their children, Jerrid (Cynthia) Dinnen and Suzanne (General) North. Other survivors include three grandchildren, Dominick and Aiden Dinnen and Dayley North; and his sister Mary Ann Peterson. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Patrick Dinnen.

Jerry spent most of his career working in property management. He was an avid KU basketball fan and could be found watching his boys play every chance he could. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and The American Legion Post 130 in Maple Hill, Kansas.

Honoring his request, a cremation is planned. A private celebration of his life and burial will be held at a later date.
