Gaylord Richard Richardson – Scranton, KS,76,went to be with his Lord on Saturday Jan. 9, 2016. Gaylord was born in Melvern, KS on Nov. 6th, 1939, the son of Marvin and Mary Holloway Richardson. He was a graduate of Melvern High School. He served in the army reserves and worked as a machinist for Santa Fe Railroad for 42 years. He was also a member of Overbrook Bible Church, where he served as an elder for many years. On Aug. 24, 1968 he was united in marriage to Frankie Green. She survives of the home. Three children were born to this union. Shari (Greg) Lewis, Chino Valley, AZ, Chris (Melissa) Richardson Newton, KS, and Emily Alvarez, Scranton. Eight grandchildren, Christa (Ryan) Olbrict, Rebekah Lewis, Angela Richardson, Luke Lewis, Thaddaeus Woodward, Aaron Lewis, Addison Alvarez and Alaina Richardson. Sisters: Betty Bumgardner, Addie Hoffsommer, Lois Maine, and Cheryl Valliquette. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Mary, sister Evelyn and brothers Thayer and Dale. A celebration of life service will be held at Overbrook Bile Church, Overbrook, KS on Saturday Jan. 16th at 11:00 am.
