Gary Lee Haflich

Gary Lee Haflich, age 78 of Meriden, KS passed away peacefully on October 27, 2017. Gary was born December 30, 1938 in Topeka, KS. He graduated from Topeka High School and Clark's School of Business, attended Washburn University, served in the Kansas National Guard, coached baseball, played golf, retired after many years with Sante Fe Railroad and delivered Meals on Wheels.

Gary was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle. He married his wife of 54 years, Sandra J. McGinness on April 8, 1963 in Topeka, KS. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, William and Helen Hillman and his brother Lowell 'Skeet' Haflich. He is survived by his wife, Sandy of Meriden, KS, daughter Sally Haflich of Kansas City, MO, son Mark (Kimbre) Haflich of Topeka, KS, grandsons Kodi and Keaton Haflich of Topeka, KS, sisters Jackie Haflich of Topeka, KS and Nancy (Lloyd Mitchell) Hillman of Meriden, KS and several nieces and nephews.

Gary was cremated and will be laid to rest in Meriden Cemetery at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 4, 2017. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to the family or a charity of your choice.
