Gary Lee Dorr

Gary Lee Dorr, 47, of Saint George, Kansas, left us unexpectedly November 17, 2016. Gary was preceded in death by his mother Nancy Dorr (Furst). He is survived by his son David Dorr(McPherson), sister Lisa Dorr(St. George), brother Jeff Dorr(St. George) and brother in law Steve Zimmerman(St. George), and father Greg Dorr(Ottawa). Gary will be forever missed by his nieces Amber Bates, Shiva Dorr and Katie Zimmerman, and by his nephews Dylan Bates, Damien Dorr, Ryan Zimmerman and great nephew Jacob Bates. Gary was born February 1, 1969 in Topeka, Kansas to Nancy Furst and Greg Dorr. He had a heart for serving others which was apparent by the way he helped others with numerous projects and tasks while asking for nothing in return. He was always willing to lend a hand and no project was ever too large, and he never saw the bad in others, he only saw their potential. He had extensive knowledge on many subjects and worked various jobs that got his hands dirty, and was extremely talented in the kitchen. To sum up his life one could simply say "Not all who wander are lost". Gary will be missed greatly.

Celebration of Life for Gary Dorr will be at the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Saint George, Saturday November 26, 2016 at 6pm.
