Evelyn Annette Anstaett passed away peacefully on December 4, in Topeka, Kansas at the age of 71. Born on May 15, 1952, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Marie and Donald Summers. She soon moved to Santa Clara, CA, where she was raised by her mom and stepdad Jim Allen.
Evelyn met her husband John William Anstaett on November 10, 1973, and married on December 29, 1973. Evelyn's journey as a devoted military wife was marked by resilience and adaptability, a testament to her strength and unwavering support for her family. With her husband, John, by her side, she created a nurturing home that was always open and welcoming. As the couple moved from place to place, Evelyn's loving spirit became the cornerstone of their family, which grew to include five wonderful children: sons John Jr of Elk Grove, CA, Joshua (Christina) of St Petersburg, FL, Benjamin of Wichita, KS, and Andrew of Topeka KS, and daughter Chava Dial (Travis) of Topeka, KS. Evelyn and her family moved to Harveyville, KS, following her husband's retirement from the Navy where they lived for 30 years.
Evelyn was a caring and steadfast presence in the lives of all who knew her. Evelyn's passion for Disney movies was more than just a hobby; it was a way for her to connect with the whimsy and joy of childhood, which she cherished deeply. Evelyn's greatest joy was her family. She relished the time spent with her children and took immense pride in watching her grandchildren grow, caring for four of them until they reached school age. Her love and lessons will live on in them.
She leaves behind her adoring husband, John, their 5 children and 3 brothers, Greg Allen of Santa Rosa, CA, JC Allen of San Jose, CA and Steven Allen. They will forever cherish her memory and strive to honor her life through their own. Evelyn's spirit will also be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy, as well as by all those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Robert (Vickie) Allen of Petaluma, CA.
Evelyn Annette Anstaett's journey on earth may have come to a close, but the light she brought to the world will never fade. Her memory will be held in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched with her kindness, laughter, and love.
The Anstaett family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks for the outpouring of love and support during this time. They will carry Evelyn's legacy forward, ensuring that her spirit of generosity, compassion, and joy continues to enrich the world just as she did.
