Ellen Marie (Davisson) Sercombe

We come together to honor and celebrate the life of Ellen Marie (Davisson) Sercombe, a cherished individual whose intelligence, love, and kindness touched the lives of many. Ellen was born on February 13, 1964, in Jackson, Michigan, and left us on December 16, 2024, in Lawrence, Kansas. Her life journey of 60 years was marked by dedication to her family, a passion for education, and the joy of exploration and adventure.

Ellen's legacy is carried on by her adoring family: her devoted husband, Thomas Sercombe; her loving children, Chelsea (Portae) Fisher and Chase (DJ) Fisher; her caring step-children, Ryan Weigand, Michael (Hayley) Sercombe and Olivia Sercombe; her dear siblings, Karen (Jim) Justus, Sandra (Bob) Jackson, and Mark (Mia) Davisson; and her treasured granddaughters, Lylah Lyons-Smith and Ariah Lyons-Smith. She also leaves behind several cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Edward (Brenda) Davisson; her parents, Esther (Hughes) Davisson and Bobbie Davisson; and her granddaughter, Aliyah Lyons-Smith. Ellen's memory will also be cherished by her ex-husband, Terry Fisher, with whom she shared many happy years.

Ellen's academic journey culminated in a Master's Degree from Spring Arbor University, a testament to her intelligence and love for learning. She dedicated over 25 years to Paragon Charter Academies, her impact as an educator reached countless students and colleagues. She will be remembered as an unwavering pillar of support and a beacon of wisdom within the educational community.
