She was predeceased by her brother, Edward (Brenda) Davisson; her parents, Esther (Hughes) Davisson and Bobbie Davisson; and her granddaughter, Aliyah Lyons-Smith. Ellen's memory will also be cherished by her ex-husband, Terry Fisher, with whom she shared many happy years.

Ellen's academic journey culminated in a Master's Degree from Spring Arbor University, a testament to her intelligence and love for learning. She dedicated over 25 years to Paragon Charter Academies, her impact as an educator reached countless students and colleagues.
