Duane Leroy Mcpherson

Duane Leroy McPherson 74 passed away April 26, 2014 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. Duane was born March 23,1940 in Hoyt, Kansas to Wallace Dee McPherson and Reland Helen McPherson.

Duane attended Carbondale schools. Graduated from Rolla High School in Missouri. Served in National Guards for a couple of years. Duane married Sherry Gardner June 3, 1962. They later divorced. He married Loretta Taylor November 11, 1985. They divorced Duane had a Window Cleaning business for a number of years. Duane is survived by three children.

Daughter: Janette Miller of Lawrence

Son: Devin (Lisa) McPherson of Topeka

Son: Aden McPherson of Topeka

Seven grandchildren: Nichole Miller, Nickoles Miller, Alexia Miller, Christopher McPherson, Kaitlyn McPherson, Olivia Warren and Teigan McPherson. One great granddaughter Lilly Call.

Duane is survived by two brothers, Virgil McPherson of Grantville, Kansas and Larry (Janell) McPherson of Topeka. Three sisters Lorene Sprouse Tecumseh, Kansas, Dorles Hillis Grovetown, Ga. and Wanda Sisco Berryton, Kansas.Many nieces and nephews.

Preceding Duane in death:

Both parents and two brothers: Mac McPherson and Raymond McPherson. Duane enjoyed sports, going to the casino, scratch tickets and dancing; which he was very good at. Duane donated his body to K. U. Medical Center.

For beloved brother Duane and all of us we want to thank sister Wanda and her son Freddie for being his care givers for two years or more. Getting him to hospitals and doctors offices and etc. Thanking Shandy Trekell nephew and niece Donna Ridgeway, nephew David Bussard for chauffeuring.
