Born on June 21, 1950, to the late Duane and Lela Montgomery, Doug's life was a testament to his dedication to his family, his passion for his work, and his love for life's simple pleasures.

Doug grew up in Topeka, where he cultivated a life-long love of learning and helping others. This led him to pursue higher education at Kansas University, where he earned a master's degree and became a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker.

Doug worked in the mental health field for many years, he specialized in family and adolescent therapy. He is survived by his loving wife, Vicki Montgomery; his daughter, Jessica Frahm; his cherished grandson, Zach Frahm and his brother Dave Montgomery. His unwavering support and unconditional love were the cornerstones of his family.

Doug's interests were as varied as they were fulfilling. Fishing, golfing and boating were among his favorite pastimes, providing him with countless hours of relaxation and enjoyment. Music filled his home with joy, he relished the moments spent traveling to new places with his loved ones and found peace and tranquility, spending time with family and friends around the pool in the summer.

Above all, Doug cherished the time spent with his family. Whether it was a quiet evening at home or a lively family gathering, those moments were what he treasured most.
