Dorla D. Fancher

Dorla D. Fancher, 94, died October 7, 2024 surrounded by her daughter and granddaughter. Dorla was a homemaker of her beloved residence for over 65 years.

Dorla Dean Fancher, the daughter of John Heckathorn & Lola Overlin was born on April 30, 1930 in Emporia, KS. She married George W. Fancher on August 18, 1947.

Dorla loved her life as a homemaker. When she wasn't carting around her granddaughter, Brianna, and attending her school functions, she could be found cooking, gardening, sewing, or bird watching. In her younger years, she was a talented bowler participating in women's leagues of Emporia making it to lots of tournaments and acquiring all sorts of trophies.

She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Jones of Emporia; her granddaughter Brianna Trivette of Kansas City. She is preceded in death by her husband George W. Fancher and her granddaughter Angela Woods.

Teresa & Brianna want to express their deepest gratitude to all of her hospice nurses that took such great care of her over these last years. Taryn, Mary, Tammy, & Cerele - you all are angels here on Earth - Thank you.
