Doris Marie Maxwell

Doris Marie Maxwell, 96, of Topeka, KS passed away, Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at her home. She was born January 13, 1926, in Topeka the daughter of Clarence and Hattie Griggs. Doris was co-owner and secretary for her and her husband's business, Maxwell Electric. In her younger years she enjoyed league bowling. She married Ted C. Maxwell on May 9, 1945, in Topeka. He preceded her in death on August 11, 1992. Survivors include a son, Michael Maxwell and his wife, Theresa, of Topeka. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence, and Hattie, along with a sister, Norma Jones. Cremation has taken place. The family is planning to hold a private celebration of life service. She will be laid to rest next to her husband, Ted, at Topeka Cemetery.
