Doris L. Connell

Doris L. Connell, 89 of Topeka, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2016.

Born October 25, 1926 in Topeka, KS, she is survived by her husband of 65 yrs, Jack Connell; two sons, Mike Connell and wife Marsha of Topeka and Bill Connell of St. Louis, MO, 7 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren and her little dog Brutus. Preceded in death by her son Daniel L. Connell.

Doris was a life long resident of Topeka and attended Topeka schools. She enjoyed cooking and sewing, was an avid bowler and had a passion for playing cards. She was the ultimate sports mom! Doris was a member of West Side Christian Church and the Woman's Auxiliary of VFW Post 1650.

At her family's request Doris will be cremated. Her Celebration of Life will be held at Westside Christian Church, 432 Lindenwood, Topeka KS., on Saturday, April 9, 2-4 pm.

Private burial to be held at a future time. In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorial contributions be made to Midland Hospice House, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, KS 66606.
