Donna Belle Edwards

Donna Belle Edwards passed away on August 19, 2023, in Overland Park, KS, due to complications from Alzheimer's. Born on December 8, 1937, in Horton, KS, Donna was a beacon of love, faith, and creativity throughout her 85 years of life to her family and friends.

Donna was the cherished wife of Wade Edwards for 64 years, and their love story was one that inspired all who knew them. Together, they raised a beautiful family, including their daughter, Bethany LaCroix, and sons, Jonathan Edwards, Jack Hill, and Jeff Loh. Donna was predeceased by her son, Wade Edwards III. She was a doting grandmother to five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was the daughter of the late Louis and Norene Koll and was predeceased by her sister, Helen Barrett.

Donna was a proud graduate of Highland College, where she earned an Associate of Art degree. She brought her creativity and dedication into her professional life, working as a paraprofessional at S Brown Co Special Education. Donna also served as a waitress and an emergency substitute.

Beyond her professional life, Donna had a passion for sewing, music, and free-lance writing.

In her 85 years, Donna touched countless lives with her love, faith, and creativity. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Girl Scouts of America or S Brown Co. USD music department in Donna's name. A private family memorial was held.
