Donna L. Cashman

Donna L. (Vest) Cashman, 68, passed away August 29, 2017 at home. Donna was born to James and Alice Vest in Topeka, KS on May 18, 1949. Donna was a strong-willed woman who spent most of her years as a homemaker. Donna also spent time working at Halls Lithograph, waitressing, and working as a drug and alcohol counselor. Donna enjoyed crocheting, thrift shopping, motorcycles, and bar hopping and dancing.

The family is very appreciative of all those who helped Donna through her lengthy illness including those staff members at Midland Hospice and numerous family and friends. Special thanks to Veronica and Eric.

Survivors include son Chadwick Cashman, son Charles (Alley) Cashman, and daughter Mandi Cashman. Friend and ex-husband Arnold "Doug" Cashman. Brothers Lester (Kathy) Vest and William Vest. Grandchildren Haileigh, Cole, Aubree, Jesus Jr., Gracie, Cameryn, Ivy, Masyn, and Madisyn. Nieces Cynthia Sanchez and Amy Vest. Adored pets Patches and Chico. Numerous other family members and loved ones.

Donna was preceded in death by parents James Vest and Alice (Lowe) Vest. Daughter Marjorie Cashman. Sisters Doris (Larry) Wright, Joyce "Babe" (Terry) Cashman, and Diana Vest.Brothers John Vest and James "Jimmy" Vest.

A celebration of life will be held Monday, September 4th at 4:00 pm at Donna's home at 2435 W 1st Ave, Topeka, KS 66606. A covered side dish would be appreciated. A lawn chair may also be helpful.
