Donald “Don” Joe Butler

Donald "Don" Joe Butler was born October 21, 1935 in Slater, Mo and passed away July 28, 2014 in Overbrook, Kansas.

He was married to Linda on January 7, 2000 she survives at home in Topeka, Ks.

Don was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Gertrude Butler, Sister Betty Jane, brothers Omer Eugene (Buddy), Robert Joseph (Bobby), Edward LaVern (Vern), and Russell.

He is survived by sister Donna Sue.

He has 3 children Crystal, Kevin and Darrell 3 step children Richard (Tracy), Ronda (Wade) and Randy (Sasha) and 6 step grandchildren Eric, Zach, Chino, Brogan, Mackenzie and Fiona.

Don served in the US Army from 1954-1956 being honorably discharged as a Specialist 3rd Class. He worked for Owens Corning Fiber Glass in Kansas City for 38 years and he worked for Dillon's at 10th and Gage in Topeka for the last 6 years.

Don was an avid KU Jayhawks basketball fan and Kansas City Chiefs fan. He enjoyed fishing traveling and spending time with friends and family.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 Saturday August 2, 2014 at St. David's Episcopal Church Topeka, Ks.
