Diana was born in Topeka, Kansas on October 30, 1946, the daughter of Marlin Joe and Frances A. McGuire. She was a 1964 graduate of Seaman High School.
She spent many years of her life caring for others in the medical field, with the breadth of her career at VA Hospital. Upon retiring from the VA, she decided upon a second career and earned her casino dealer's license, which she put to great use during her many years at Harrah's/Prairie Band Casino, a job she enjoyed immensely for over 14 years.
Diana enjoyed going dancing with her husband, spending time with her family, travel, spending time on their farm, going to bingo, and playing cards at the casino.
She married Ronny Liggett in 1964 and had two children, Laura Liggett (Johnnie Lewis) of Topeka, and Russ Liggett (Linda Warner) now living in Las Vegas. Diana and Ronny would later divorce.
Diana married Ralph Diggs in 1971. The family moved to Netawaka and eventually on to their farm in Soldier. Together they had two children, Lisa McPherson (Devin), and Robert Diggs (Rachelle Peters) both of Topeka. The couple were married for 40 years at the time Ralph passed.
She is survived by her four children, three grandchildren: Christopher McPherson, Kaitlyn McPherson, and Tatum Diggs, and two great-grandchildren.
Diana's siblings also survive: John McGuire, Joan Dieter, Gloria Beeghly, Michael McGuire, and Edith Sieve.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph, and her parents.
Cremation is planned. A private family ceremony will take place at a later date.
