Deann K Boggs

On October 4th at 1:45 am, DeAnn K Boggs passed away. DeAnn was born in Topeka, Ks on December 16, 1945 to George Lloyd Betcher and Lillian Marie Betcher. DeAnn went to high school at Highland Park High School, graduating in 1963. On May 28th, 1965 she married her high school sweetheart, Robert David Boggs. In 1966 they had their daughter Kimberly Dyann Boggs (Pfannenstiel), who is now married to Richard Duane Pfannenstiel. Then in 1969 they had their son, David Lyn Boggs. He has 2 children, Casey Lyn Boggs (Johnson) and Robert David Boggs.

DeAnn worked mainly in the insurance industry as an agent and office manger. She had taken classes at Kaw area Vocational Technical School for Data Processing. She also held several certificates with the Kansas Insurance Association. She retired in 2011 from Farm Bureau Insurance.

DeAnn and Bob were involved in several groups that kept them having a busy social life. They rode a motorcycle and traveled all over the country enjoying beautitul scenery. They also were part of the shriners group as well. She loved that the work they did helped many young children.

All of her life DeAnn was an at home seamstress and made clothing for herself, her mother and her daughter as well as many others. After retirement DeAnn transferred that love into quilting. She loved it so that her husband began quilting with her as well. So they have shared many hours together quilting in their home. She was an active member of the Country Quilters Guild and served as secretary for 2 years. She was the coordinator of the quilting programs at Ward Meade.

She also loved to cook and try new recipes. She had her family over for weekly dinners and all the holiday diners as well. To say DeAnn loved Christmas is an understatement.

DeAnn will be creamated and will return to her home to watch over her loving husband and her corgi dog, Baylee. DeAnn was a loving beautiful woman who will be missed dearly by many!!

The family requests no flowers. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution can be made to Midland Hospice or Helping hands humane society.
