David Wayne Colvin

David Wayne Colvin, "Big Dave", a lifelong Kansan, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2025, in Topeka, Kansas, at the age of 61.

He was born on July 10, 1964, in Winchester, Kansas, to Violet Elizabeth Rhodes and Lester Alan Colvin.

David was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Leonard, Bonnie, Cathy, and Ellen.

He dedicated his career to construction, working all across Northeast Kansas.

In November 1986, David married Susan Lyn Delcour and raised their family until divorcing in 2002, though mutual love remained between them.

He is survived by his children, Dallas (Nikki), Laci (PJ), and Samson (Marilyn). He also leaves behind four granddaughters.

David will be cremated, and a private celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
