Darla Kay Warren, passed away February 26th 2017. She was born June 12, 1965 in Los Angeles, CA. She spent her younger years in South Carolina. Some of her fondest childhood memories were searching for seashells at Myrtle Beach. Her family then relocated to Kansas where she graduated from Santé Fe High. She continued her education at Washburn University in business management in Topeka, KS. Filled with compassion and love for animals, Darla and then husband Jeff Hernandez opened their first business A-Z Pet store. She also enjoyed raising domestic, and exotic birds from her home, and raising German Shepherds. She was very passionate about Schutzhund Training where she would teach her Shepherds strength, focus, power, and endurance. Before her cancer diagnosis, Darla loved being outdoors, working in the yard and raking leaves into piles for the children to jump in. She also loved planting fruits and vegetables and always had a beautiful flower bed. Darla was a talented artist, who loved to draw and paint, especially pictures of horses that she used to own and ride as a teenager. She loved watching movies and her soaps on TV. She was also good with numbers and games from the word game Scrabble to playing Farkle and cards with her family and friends. Darla is survived by her three children: Tyana Harrington, Zachary Hernandez, and Devin Warren. Her three grandchildren, her Father Darrell Warren, and brothers James Haney, Darren Warren, Jason Warren and sister Jamie Warren. Her late mother Carol Bame is awaiting her arrival in heaven. Darla's life will be celebrated in a small family service at a later date.
