Dan (Joe) Marcoux was the third of eight siblings born to Art and Rae Marcoux.
He is survived by six siblings, two children by Lise Archambeau (Shannon and Tonya-deceased), and four grandchildren.
After serving in the Army during the Vietnam conflict, Dan worked in various areas. These included as an assistant manager at Arbichon's Hardware, driving truck for Hood's Milk, a machinist at Butterfield's, supervisor in Vermont corrections, and chip
technologist for Vermont Burlington IBM.
Dan was a compassionate, fun-loving hard worker. He loved teaching confirmation classes for Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Newport. If he wasn't riding his Harley, he was fishing in Vermont lakes and rivers. He also followed in his Dad's footsteps playing guitar at weddings and funerals. He recently concluded his bucket list wishes by revisiting Ocean Beach, CA where he surfed as a teenager.
His motto: Life is an adventure. He is now on his greatest adventure with his father, daughter, brother, and nephew and we all wish him well.
Dan did not want a funeral or memorial, but to have his ashes distributed in his favorite places-Vermont and California.
In lieu of flowers the Dan requested that memorial donations be made to any charities having to do with veterans, pets, and St. Jude Children's Hospital.
