Dagmar Wolfley, 86, passed away Saturday, July 9th, 2016 at her home in Silver Lake, Kansas. She was born to Dr. Arno and Erika Kaempf on August 19th, 1929 in Landsberg Neumark, Germany. She worked in Rochester, New York for St. Mary's Hospital then moved to Kansas in 1959. After moving to Kansas she worked for Robert Brooker at the Medical Arts Building and then went to work the night shift at Memorial Hospital. Dagmar also owned and operated Wolfley's Horse Stables that were below the Lake Shawnee dam, before moving the horse stables and her family to Silver Lake, Kansas. She was also a member of the Shawnee County Sheriff's Mounted Posse. She is preceeded in death by her husband, Donald E. Wolfley whom she married in Topeka, Kansas in 1963. She is survived by her son, Thomas Wolfley, brothers Rainer Kaempf and Eckehard Kaempf and two grandchildren, Lexi Schmidtlein and Logan Wolfley. A celebration of life will take place with family at a later date.
