Cynthia A. Brooks, known fondly as Cindy, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2023, in her hometown of Topeka, KS. Born on March 5, 1959, also in Topeka, she lived a life filled with love, laughter, and an unwavering dedication to her family and profession.
Cindy was the beloved mother of Jessica and Rene Anguiano (Jacob) & life partner Jesse Anguiano and cherished grandmother to Mariah, Melanie, Jaxon, and Baby J. She is also survived by 1 sister, 3 brothers and was preceded in death by her mother Patricia Robbins
Cindy was a proud graduate of Topeka West High School and Kaw Valley College, class of 1977. She was a lifelong learner, always eager to enhance her knowledge and skills. Her passion for helping others led her to a fulfilling career in the nursing field, a profession she never stopped loving. Her compassionate care touched countless lives and her dedication to her work was a testament to her character.
She was a woman of many hobbies and interests. Cindy loved nothing more than spending time with her grandchildren, who brought immense joy and happiness into her life. She had a green thumb and found peace and tranquility in her garden. She was also a fan of playing scratch tickets, always hopeful of hitting the jackpot. Cindy was a lover of the great outdoors, enjoying swimming and exploring nature. Her zest for life was infectious and she had a knack for making every moment count.
Cynthia 'Cindy' A. Brooks will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her legacy of love, care, and dedication will continue to live on in the hearts and minds of those she left behind. Her light will continue to shine in the lives of her family, friends, and all the people she cared for in her nursing career. She will be deeply missed.
