Constance Rae Cobler, 81, of Topeka, KS passed away on Aug. 23, 2019. Connie was born Nov. 30, 1938 in Topeka, KS to Reymond and surviving mother, Geraldine Hickey.
Connie graduated from Highland Park High School, retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone, then worked the last 15 years of her life for Valeo Behavioral Health Care. Connie had a fiery personality and a relentless will to give everything to those around her. Connie's work ethic was unparalleled, and she commonly worked two and sometimes three jobs. She lived for her family and went to great lengths to ensure they had the necessities of life. She often said comical phrases such as, "I'm just in a snit," or "What a revolting development," or "Well, such as life."
Connie was preceded in death by husband, Larry Cobler; second husband, Alan Bayless; first husband, Kenneth Andrews and their children, deceased son, Larry Andrews and surviving daughter, Gere Shaw (Robert). Connie is survived by grandchildren, Jeremy Fitzgerald (Jenny), Adrienne Andrews, Amy Andrews, Tina Sanchez (Saul), Clayton Roberts, Cody Roberts, Bobby Shaw; Nephew, Shawn Hickey (Heather); 13 great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be Friday, Sept. 27 from 4:30-7:30 p.m. at Tecumseh Park Shelter House located at 4800 SE 2nd St. Tecumseh, KS 66542.
