Connie Sue Sandberg (Herson)

Born on Ground Hogs day 2-2-1942

in St Joseph Missouri

Passed Away peacefully on Palm Sunday

3-24-2024 In her home in Topeka Kansas

At the age of 82

She is survived by a Daughter Leigh Ann Wilbur (Husband Tom) of Topeka Kansas and a Son Krieg Hensley of Topeka Kansas along with

9 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren. 5 Great Great Grandchildren as well as many Niece's, Nephews and cousins

She was a 1960 graduate of the Historic Topeka High School.

After retiring to Topeka She enjoyed volunteer work:

Topeka Bible Church- Sunday School Jungle Room, Coffee Ministries and Harvesters food distribution

SLI- Festival of Trees

Topeka Public Schools- Food Service

She loved traveling in her pickup truck and camping - spending as much time as she could outdoors. A long daily walk was part of her regular routine. She was an avid reader and spent a fair amount of time at the Topeka Public Library.

In lieu of flowers we are asking for donations to HHHS to purchase a brick with her name - She adopted a wonderful senior dog who became her best friend during her extended illness.
