Connie Lou Johnson 59, an amazing woman, left us on November 12, 2016 and is resting, waiting for her father to call her home. Connie was born on June 26th, 1957 in Alto, Illinois to Conard and Mary Lou Axelson. After surviving a difficult childhood, she married early to Clay Johnson. To this union there were three girls born Brandy, Mandy, and Holly Johnson. The marriage dissolved after 7 years. Connie cleaned both the church and school to make sure her children were able to go to the church school. Connie always gave even though she did not have a lot to give, putting others before herself and believing that God would provide. Connie Johnson was a great woman who raised 3 children, 11 grandchildren: Alisha, Madison, Payton, Destiny, Bailey, Jessy, Aubrey, Louis, Ethan, Lillie, and Colton. She instilled in her children the Seventh-day Adventist beliefs and always to help others. She taught them couth, love, mercy and the ability to pay attention to detail. She is world renowned for the term "Grandma Connie Clean". Connie is survived by her three daughters, her two brothers Kenny and Kevin Axelson, her stepmother Mary Lou Axelson, and her 11 grandchildren. Preceding her in death were both her parents and her sister. Service will be held Monday, November 21st, 2016 @ 4:00 p.m. at the Wanamaker Seventh-day Adventist Church, Topeka KS.
