Colleen Ann Braden

Colleen Ann Braden, 62, of Topeka, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 2, 2016. She was born December 30, 1953 in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Robert and Evelyn Braden. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Jimmy Braden, and son, Billy Shotts. Survivors include the love of her life, Ralph Trekell, son, Joe Herman, sisters, Kathleen Riddle, Denise Tolbert, Kelly Lilly (Tony), brother, Bobby Braden (Karen) and several nieces and nephews. Colleen attended and graduated from Topeka High School. She reconnected with her childhood sweetheart years later and remained with him until her last days. She enjoyed spending time with her family, bingo, and dancing. Colleen spent many of her days hanging out with her sisters and drinking her sweet tea which she thoroughly enjoyed. She was best known for being a fast talker and telling it like it was. Even in her final moments she was adamant that there was to be no crying and if you did, she did not mind telling you where to go. Colleen was loved by many and had a heart of gold.
