COL.DONALD E. CLARK, DDSpassed away May 4 in Topeka. Hewas born May 4, 1929 in Melvern, KS to Ella Marie Hammond Clark and Floyd Hubert Clark. Don joined the USMC in 1945 at the age of 16. Following his service, he attended Chanute Junior College and the UMKC School of Dentistry. Hepracticed dentistry in Topeka from 1955until 1989.Don served as Commander of the 410thEVAC. Hospital, US Army Reserves.

Don married Roberta Godlove in 1949.They were divorced. Don is survived by two children, a son-Jon Roger Clark, San Antonio, TX and a daughter-Jennifer Caroline Clark, Kansas City, KS, two granddaughters, Lydia Jean Clark-Hargreaves, Emporia, KS and Rebecca Lynn Clark-Hargreaves, Seattle, WA. He is also survived by two brothers, Bill Clark, Manhattan, KS, Fred (Kay) Clark, Topeka and a sister, Roberta Holt, Belleville, KS,and long time friend, Vernice Lomax. Don was preceded in death by his parents andtwo sisters-Betty ClarkPrice, Topeka andDorothy Clark Harp, Wichita.

Rather than have a formal funeral service, Don requested that his lifebe celebratedwith a party. He will be cremated and buried at the Fort Leavenworth NationalCemetery.A celebration of life will be held for Don, Sunday, June 29that the American Legion Post 1, 3800 SE Michigan, 1 - 4 pm.
