Christine A. Delauro Ralph

d. September 20, 2018

Christine A. DeLauro Ralph was born Christmas day, 1956, in Munich, Germany then went ahead of Kenny on September 14, 2018. The gift she had will be remembered by many for many years. She was friends with Bill W. for just 3 days short of 29 years.

She married Kenneth (Kenny) Ralph November 11, 1999 in Hawaii; yes, Hawaii. They honeymooned in Maui and they have been back at least eight times together (the second most beautiful place only to where she is now).

Her life was devoted to her sobriety, sobriety family, her husband and her animals. She also stepped up and helped, to the very best of her ability, by keeping several grandchildren with all the duties and responsibilities involved.

Her best friend from Forth Worth, Lori Trueblood, sadly passed this year ahead of Christine. Developing relationships with people was her strong asset as she maintained her hair salon and incorporated some lifetime companions with the girls that worked in her salon.

Christine and Kenny accomplished many challenges and adventures but the two most significant are the purchase of a falling down house, and turning it into the beautiful home we have now, and the remodeling of her hair salon, which I believe to be the most beautiful salon in Topeka.

Sensitivity to people and to animals was so obvious with Christine as she trudged the road and shed many tears for people and her pets. Ricco, our dog, Ziggy, her cat and the two birds loved Mommy and share our loss (and I can see it). I promise to have a much better story ready for you when we celebrate her life as we come together at Garfield Community Center on September 28th at 6:00 pm. Hope it is large enough to hold the crowd of people that loved her.

She is preceded by her father, Anthony DeLauro, formerly of Hawaii, her mother, Amy Crubel DeLauro, formerly of Topeka, and her sister, Elizabeth DeLauro formerly of San Francisco. It is impossible to say how much I (Kenny) and you (her friends) will miss her.

She has flown off with her yellow wings and her purple cape to the best place ever.

Christine is survived by her husband, Kenny Ralph, of Topeka, and by her stepchildren, Tobey Ralph (Sherri) of Leavenworth, Brandy Washington (Marcus) of Topeka and Chad Ralph, of Topeka, five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Please join Kenny in celebrating her life.
