Cheryl Ann White-Wager was born on December 20, 1952 in Kansas City, KS to Robert Wendell and Wilda Kathleen Castleberry White. Cheryl was the thirdof five children and grew up in Osawatomie, KS. Cheryl married William Wager on November 3, 1975 in Osawatomie. Together they had two daughters and Cheryl also became a step motherto 3 sons. The family moved to Topeka, KS in 1985.
Cheryl attended Osawatomie High School and also graduated with a degree in medical assisting and phlebotomy from Topeka Technical College. She worked many jobs throughout her life, including food service and cleaning services, before becoming a healthcare worker.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill, and her older beloved brother Robert White. Cheryl is survived by her daughters, Billie Wager and Amanda McFall, her step sons Gene Wager Sr., Glenn Wager, and John Wager, her siblings Glenn White, Beverly Brown, and Barbara Cummins, several nieces and nephews, and her pride and joy, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, to whom she will always be their loving Kansas Grandma or Nana. While she was not able to see many of them in person recently due to her illness, it meant the world to her to see them all online and they brought her so much happiness.
Cheryl put up a fight against cancer, and ultimately she was the winner! On May 6, 2021 she moved on to her reward in Heaven. Though her presence on earth will leave a great hole in the lives of all who loved her, the knowledge that she is free of pain gives comfort until we are reunited once again.
