Cheryl Eileen Jackson

June 14, 1945 — November 7, 2018

Cheryl Eileen Jackson was born June 14, 1945 to Herman and Betty Lake Kidd in Manhattan, Kansas. She was later adopted by her Stepfather Ladd Keefover and grew up in Manhattan, Clay Center and Topeka where she graduated from Highland Park High School in 1963. Cheryl and Robert E. Jackson were married July 4, 1964 in Topeka where they lived until late 1968 when they moved to Harveyville, Kansas, their home the last fifty years. She was elected to the Harveyville City Council and held a variety of jobs with her favorite being at Auburn Animal Clinic. Cheryl treasured the time she spent with her husband, children and grandchildren, extended family and friends and was an adoring and supportive wife, mother and grandmother. She usually had a garden and enjoyed being outdoors, but loved to play games, especially Scrabble and Canasta.

Cheryl passed away at Midland Hospice House November 7, 2018. She is survived by her husband Bob, sons Tim and Steve and his wife Carole, daughter Diana and her partner Shane DiPasquale; grandchildren Tyi, Chase, Breanna, Hunter, Colton, Mackenze and Connor; great grandchildren Ryker, Claire and Caroline; siblings Diana Lauer and husband John, Robert Keefover and wife Jane, and Jeffrey Rickson.

A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 pm December 1, 2018 at Harveyville United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in her memory to Midland Care, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, Kansas 66606 or Helping Hands Humane Shelter, 5720 SW 21st Street, Topeka, Kansas 66604.
