Charles "Chuck "to his friends passed Thursday 8 Feb 2018 in Topeka. Chuck was a kind and gentle man with a gracious charm and singular wit. Chuck touched the lives of so many over the years, as a teacher, during his career with the Kansas Board of Education, as he served in our military and as he volunteered. No lives did he touch more deeply than those of his children and family, always the father, always there when needed, always with love and grace. Chuck enjoyed the family gatherings… to cruise and vacation with his wife Carol and dance the night away… to walk his little dog through the neighborhood. Chuck was a man comfortable in his faith. Chuck left lasting impressions on the hearts of all he met and will be missed by all but remembered with a smile.
Chuck is survived by his three kids, Kevin Nicholson of Oklahoma City, Nancy Leiker of Wichita Kansas and Keith Nicholson of McKinney TX, all the spouses, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, all the extended family, Chuck always loved everyone equally with all his heart, what a Blessing to have Chuck as our father.
Chuck is also survived by his step children Bonnie Long of Topeka Kansas, Scott Medley of Topeka Kansas, Brent Medley of Topeka Kansas and Cordy Medley of Kansas City, all the spouses, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and all the extended family, Chuck is a loving and gracious impact on everyone's life.
Chuck is finally survived by Carol, his wife, love of his life, partner in everything, a union blessed.
