Charles E. (Chuck) Miller, 70, Berryton, KS passed away on February 16, 2020 following a brief, but brave battle with kidney cancer.

Chuck was born June 22, 1949 in Topeka to Kenneth and Dora Miller.  He graduated from Topeka High School and Washburn University. Chuck worked for various employers including Ohse Meats and R&K Supply before establishing his public procurement career with the State of Kansas, where he met his wife, Janet. He was a Procurement Officer with the Kansas Department of Transportation upon his passing.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Karen.

Chuck leaves behind his wife, Janet and their two furry friends, Sammie and Bailey.  Also surviving is his sister-n-law, four nieces, one nephew and several great nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.

Chuck was very competitive and played tennis and racquet ball, He was an exceptional fastpitch softball pitcher, traveling across the country for tournaments. He was an avid sporting clays competitor and loved spending time with his shooting friends at Ravenwood. He had a love for animals and cherished family and friends. Chuck will be remembered for his quick wit, sense of humor and occasional politically incorrect comments. He loved telling stories and would be rolling with tears of laughter along with those listening.

Memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society in his honor.

A celebration of his life will be held Ravenwood Lodge at a later date.
