Charles "Bud" R. Griffths passed away March 25, 2022, at Stormont Vail hospital.
He was born February 21, 1939, to Charles "Roy" and Dorothy Griffiths. He married Marilyn Wolfe on August 17, 1959.
He grew up in Topeka and went on to become a barber. He barbered at the B.I.S. in Topeka for many years. He managed bowling lanes in Pittsburg, Chattanooga, and Topeka. He owned Griff's Sports Bar in Topeka. He went on to drive a curtesy van for Capital City Nissan. He also drove cars for Legacy Motors and I- 70 Auto Auction.
He played fast pitch softball for the legendary Plantation Steakhouse Team in Topeka for many years.
Bud had a love for bowling and playing golf. He was a loyal Kansas City Chiefs and KU Jayhawks fan.
Bud is also one of few people who can claim a perfect 300 bowling game and a hole in one.
He enjoyed spending his time with children, grandchildren, and his pets. He was known for his sense of humor; he always knew just the right time to come up with a funny joke or story. He was loved by all who knew him.
Bud was preceded in death by His parents Roy and Dorothy Griffiths. His daughter
Lisa R. Griffths. Marilyn A. Griffths. His brothers Raymond and Jimmie Griffiths and sister Karen Hodges He is survived by his sister Ruby Hayes: three children: Charles "Mike" Griffiths (Melanie), Stacey Eraas - Williams (Monica), and Cheryl Walters. Grandchildren: Andy (Ansley) Walters, Sam (Caroline) Walters, Brandee (Gabby) Hutton, Mallory, and MacKenzie Griffths. Great-Grandchildren: Kadyn, Rebel, Angelika, Andrew Jr, Ava, and Kaia.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
