Charles Anthony DeCesaris Jr., 72, of Topeka, Kansas, peacefully passed away on November 19, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on December 14, 1950, in Brandywine, Maryland to Charles and Dorothy (Patriarca) DeCesaris.
Charles is survived by his partner Brenda Diegel, his children, Charlie, Bernie, Danny, Joey, Katie (Justin) Kline, and Angie (Dan) Wax. His cherished grandchildren, Audrey, Emily, Connor, Tyler, Jack, Dylan, Jacob, and Ethan. His siblings Marco (Diane), Loretta Cutright, Dottie Fortner, Michael (Karen), David, Angela D'Antonio and brother-in-law Bill Kittle as well as many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his faithful companion Scout. Charles was proceeded in death by his father, mother, stepmother Angelina, sister Diane Kittle and brothers-in-law Bobby Cutright and Easy Fortner.
After graduating from Bishop McNamara High School in 1968, Charles proudly served in the Marine Corps from 1969 to 1975.
Charles pursued a fulfilling career in building custom homes in Maryland before moving to Kansas and serving as an Environmental Tech for the Kansas Department of Health & Environment until his retirement. After retirement he started his Cutting Board Authority business and sold custom cutting boards with his son Bernie.
To honor Charles' wishes, there will be no service.
Charles will be remembered as a devoted family man, a proud Marine, and a skilled craftsman. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May he rest in eternal peace.
