Charles "Chuck" Eugene Whitmarsh Jr.

Charles Eugene Whitmarsh Jr., known affectionately to friends and family as Chuck, passed away on the 11th of August 2024, following a car accident in his hometown of Topeka, Kansas. Born in the same city on September 29, 1949, Chuck's journey through life was characterized by his loving nature, his humorous spirit, and his thoughtful demeanor, traits that endeared him to many.

Chuck proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army, a period of his life that instilled in him a sense of discipline and camaraderie which he carried into his civilian life. His commitment to service was not only evident in his military career but also in his active involvement with various associations, where his leadership and dedication left a lasting impact.

After his honorable discharge, Chuck found joy and excitement in the world of racing and wrestling. His competitive spirit was matched only by his sportsmanship and the genuine connections he formed with fellow enthusiasts. Additionally, he was a skilled pool player, often found leaning over the green felt of a pool table, planning his next shot amidst the friendly chatter of companions.

Chuck's sense of humor was legendary; he had an uncanny ability to lift the spirits of those around him with just a few well-chosen words or a clever joke. His laughter was infectious, and his presence at gatherings was a guarantee of good times and warm memories.

He is survived by his loving sister, Jeanie Sackrider, and her husband, Richard Sackrider; his brother, Michael Whitmarsh; his niece, Jamie Kincaid, and her husband, Chris Kincaid; his nephew, Troy Howard; and his great-nephews, LT Howard, and his wife, Traci Howard. Dacoda Kincaid, Garin Kincaid, Daxton Kincaid, great nieces Jorden Kincaid, Jaden Kincaid, and Brenna Howard.

Chuck's family will cherish the memories of his loving embrace, his hearty laugh, and the countless moments of joy he brought into their lives. He was a beacon of light and love, guiding them through the best and the hardest times with unwavering support.
