In Loving Memory of Charles "Chuck" Ward Palmer, Jr.

Charles Ward Palmer Jr., 76, of Topeka KS, passed away on March 14, 2026, at Midland Care Hospice. Though his final battle with illness was difficult, he faced it with the same strength that defined his life.

Known to friends and family as "Chuck," he was a man of quiet discipline and immense patriotism. A Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, he was honored with the National Defense and Vietnam Service Medals. His love for his country was a cornerstone of his character, second only to the love he held for his family.

His legacy lives on through his daughter, Cheryl Lynn Eckerty and her husband Mark Eckerty; his grandchildren, Jasmine “Skye,” Jeraimee Lee II, and MaKenzie Lynn; and his great-grandchildren, Jaimee Rey and Jeordie Skye. He will be deeply missed by his siblings, nieces, nephews, and the many friends who respected his service and cherished his company.
