Caenan wants everyone to know that Chad was a loving father. Chad and Caenan were very close. Some of their favorite things to do together included; playing Army battle on the living room floor, every version of the board game Risk, JROTC Raider Meets, kayaking, camping, working on vehicles and watching football.
Caenan describes Chad as "A BIG TIME BILLS FAN" - (understatement). The KC Chiefs were Caenan's team of choice up until October 10th of 2021. Chad received 3 tickets as an early Christmas present from his wife, Wendi, that year. It was Caenan's first NFL game and the Bills trounced the Chiefs. Josh Allen ran, dove and hurdled his way into Caenan's heart. That was the day Chad gained his partner in Bills fandom. They were loud and proud from that day forward.
One of his best attributes was his impact on the children in his life. He had many many young people that looked up to him. Chad was willing to spend time, attention and effort teaching his kids sports, kayaking, board games and life skills. HE LOVED YOU AND WAS PROUD OF YOU ALL!
Chad was a staunch union man. Being in the union didn't just mean good pay, affordable health care and job security to Chad. It meant providing quality workmanship and highly skilled, professional ironworkers. He was a bit of a perfectionist but loved to have fun. Chad enjoyed raising job site morale. One of his favorite tricks was to change up his hair to keep everyone guessing. Chad was lucky enough to get to work all day long with some of his best buddies.
Chad States was a charismatic, gregarious, flashy peacock. He loved attention and would do anything to get it. From the bright yellow shoes to the sleeveless t-shirts he dressed to impress. Because he was so outgoing and affable, he made friends easily. Many people have very fond memories of their time together.
A casual gathering for family and friends will be Saturday, November 12, 2022 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm at 5201 NW 46th Street, Topeka, KS 66618.
