Carolyn Jane Mckay

Carolyn (Candy) Jane (Wilson) McKay, 58, Topeka, KS, passed away on March 10, 2014 at St Francis Hospital, Topeka, KS.

Candy was born August 11, 1955 in Ottawa Ks. Candy was the first born child of Thomas Richard Wilson, (deceased) and Mary Lou (White) Wilson who now resides in Wamego, KS. She welcomed two sisters into her life Marilyn Kay Wilson (Alma, KS), and Lou Ellen (Elly) Schroeder (Wamego, KS).

After graduating from Olathe High School in 1973, Candy was employed by Johnson County Social Services. She was married to James McKay of Leavenworth and welcomed two children into her life. Mary Kay (McKay) Barrett-Willard of White City and James William (McKay) Neff also of White City.

Candy leaves behind her Very Significant Other Gary Gibson, their two cats, Funny Face and Oreo, all remaining in their home in Topeka KS.

Candy along with Gary was an active participants in the Valeo and Pace programs, both being exceptional artist.

Memorial Donations can be made to Valeo Behavioral Health Care and/or PACE Program.

Services will be held Monday, March 17th, 11:00AM at First Presbyterian Church, 817 SW Harrison,Topeka, KS.
