Carolyn was born on September 20, 1946 in Topeka, KS.

She graduated from Carbondale High School in 1964 as Valedictorian of her class.

Carolyn was married to Darel Burd in October 1965 in Topeka, KS; they were married 16 years and later divorced.

Carolyn worked as a Homemaker for nearly all her life.  She enjoyed listening to the radio, especially news and church programs.  She was loved by many and enjoyed visiting with family and neighbors that dropped by or called.  She had her faith, loved God and was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ.

Carolyn is survived by her daughter Lisa Burd of Topeka, KS, her sister Joyce Fahl (Bob) of Fort Wayne, IN and other family.

Carolyn is preceded in death by Arthur and Arlene Johnson (parents), and Jack Johnson (brother).

She will be cremated and a graveside memorial service will be held at the Carbondale Cemetery at a date to be determined later. Service arrangements are being handled by Lisa Burd.
