Candice Lynn Wilcox of Topeka, KS sadly passed away on December 8th, 2022, after a long battle with illness. She departed peacefully in her sleep, comforted by her Pitbull, Millie. She was 38 years old.
Candice was born on August 10th, 1984. She was first daughter to Noble Weesner and Tammy Weesner. Birth took place at Kingwood Hospital in Humble, TX. She came into the world weighing 5lbs, 6ozs.
As a child Candice was friendly and cheerful. No one was a stranger in her eyes. Trips with her parents to the mall was always and experience and adventure.
In Candice's youth and teenage years, she loved listening to music, she loved to sing along to her favorite songs. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She was active in Girl Scouts for 6 years; she was an active leader to younger Girl Scouts in her later years of service.
Candice graduated from Circle High School in 2002. Circle High School is located in Benton, KS. She was involved in a Reading Program through the school for its elementary students. She was active in her church United Methodist. There she taught Sunday school.
In 2004, Candice was an accomplished poet, having a poem published titled "Me". She received the Editor's Choice Award for said poem through the International Library of Poetry. She continued to craft her art for the remainder of her years. At the same time she was working in a teaching position for children with Special Needs. This was something Candice always spoke highly of.
In 2007, Candice met Mark Allen Wilcox. They decided to show their loved for each other by getting married on September 19th, 2009. They went on to have one child together, Travis Lee Wilcox.
Candice love to write poetry, listen to various types of music, and coloring. She enjoyed camping trips and holidays with her family on husband's side. Road trips to anywhere we're some of her favorites, Candice would always hold her head out the window. But most of all Candice love the ones that we're near and dear to her. The most love she gave to any person we're her children.
Candice is preceded in death by Cece Weesner (daughter), LeRoy Weesner (grandfather), Lois Weesner (grandmother), Rosser True (great-grandfather), Dora True (great-grandmother).
Candice is survived by Noble Weesner (father), Tammy Weesner (mother), Dora Gear (sister), Lacey Weesner (sister), Samuel Weesner (brother), Grayson Weesner (son), Ricky Abbott (son), Travis Wilcox (son) and Mark Wilcox (husband).
Celebration of Life will be held Saturday December 17th, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. Her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Shawn Wilcox and Heather Lawson have been kind enough to open their house for the occasion.
