Candace Sue Thomas (Candy), age 68, of Topeka went to be with her Savior on Wednesday, March 29, 2017. Candy was born on June 3, 1948 in Joplin, Missouri, to Robert W. and Bonnie B. (Overstreet) Blake.

She is survived by her sons, Mike (Debbie) Thomas and Dirk (Janette) Thomas; grandchildren Jessica, Jeremy, Lisa and Marla; great grandchildren Grace, Shaylee, Ember and Everly. She is also survived by her sister Kelly (Mark) Totty and nieces and nephews Arienne, Ashley (Carlos), Emily (Chris) and Braden. She is also survived by her former husband Bob (Candace) Thomas.

She graduated from Seaman Rural High School in 1966. She worked for the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture for 43 years. She was an active member of Central Park Christian Church.

Candy's passions in life were her family, doing the Lord's work and cooking for and taking care of everyone else. She was a very unselfish person and never judged anyone. She may have had only two sons but she was a mom to so many more.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at 11:00 at Central Park Christian Church, 1535 SW Clay St., Topeka, KS. Memorial contributions may be made to Central Park Christian Church.
