Bertie Mae Thompson

Bertie Mae Thompson (Mitchell) (77) was born in Milfay, Oklahoma on April 23, 1937 to Clyde and Zelda Mitchell. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Abe Thompson; her brothers LeRoy Mitchell, and Don Mitchell; her sisters Audrey Pope, Alma Weymouth, Mary Mitchell; and her daughter Sherry Ward.

She is survived by her brother Glen Mitchell from Topeka; two step-daughters Jean Morgan and Linda Ott of Pittsburg; three children and their spouses; Blue and Jayne Ward; David and Lynn Wolgamuth all from Wichita; Joni and Jan Leonard from Topeka. Her grandchildren Azure Jabes, Brad Blevins, Christopher Wolgamuth, Carly Wolgamuth, Jon Leonard, Nicole Tappan, Quinn Moss, and Janel Leonard; and her great-grandchildren Lucas and Harper Belvins; Jake Leonard; Allison and Carter Tappan; Aden Shaul and Shyla Guilford. Her step-grandchildren Erica, Kendra, Kendall, Justin, Bo, Cameron, and Gage. Her step-great grandchildren Elijah, Serenity, David, Taylor, Zoey, Dixie, Gabbi, Sarah, Lilly, and Chelsea. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Services are to be held at SW Baptist Church 2901 SW Eveningside Drive in Topeka, KS on Thursday October 30, 2014 at 12:30 p.m. Officiated by Pastor Carl Frazier.
