Arvid Leroy Johnson

Arvid Leroy Johnson, 89, died August 14th at Medicalodges in Holton, Kansas. Arvid was born March 20, 1933, in Eskridge, Kansas to Hjalmar and Blossom Davidson Johnson. He grew up in rural Eskridge and graduated from Eskridge High School. He served in the Army in Korea and Japan for two years. Arvid spent most of his career in Phoenix, AZ and Fort Worth, TX. Arvid is survived by sisters Bonita (Charles) Thomas - Eskridge KS, Arlene Penrice - Woodward, OK, and Peggy Parsons – Tecumseh, KS and brother-in-law, Bill Stolte -Topeka, KS. He is also survived by eight nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Viola Stolte, and brothers-in-laws Millard Penrice and Dean Parsons. A family graveside service will be held at the Swedish Cemetery near Hessdale, Kansas on August 28, 2022.
