Agnes M. Puronas, 81, Topeka, passed March 29, 2016. Aggie was born November 21, 1934 in Berlin, Germany, the daughter of Albert and Anna (Gorek) Horke. Aggie married Romualdas "Roy" Puronas on December 16, 1962 in Jamesburg, NJ. He proceeded her in death on September 30, 2009. They moved to rural Lyndon, Kansas in 1975 and to southwest Shawnee County in 2004. Aggie's main mission in life was taking care of her husband Roy just short of 47 years. A part of her was gone upon his passing. Aggie was an avid bowler in her prime and won many awards traveling to tournaments both in Germany and the United States. Later in life she took up golf in order to spend more time with her husband through which they made many life long friends. "Close, but no Cigar!" was one of her favorite sayings when someone barely missed a putt. Aggie enjoyed having a good time and will be missed by all who knew her. Aggie is survived by her sisters-in-law Danga Gorbis, Vineyard,MA and Gerda Weitzel,Park Ridge,IL. Other survivors include three nephews in Germany, Wolfgang Horke, Alexander Horke, and Manfred Ulrich; in the United States nephews David Gabis and Michael Weitzel; nieces Vovere Hessen, Rita Gabis and Lina Anguiano; and several great and great,great nieces and nephews and many friends. Graveside service will be 12:00pm, Saturday, May 21, 2016 at the Vassar Cemetery, Vassar, Kansas. Arrangements by Feltner Funeral Home, Lyndon, Ks. Aggie's Celebration of Life will follow with a luncheon at 1:30 at Prairie View Country Club House, 9840 SW 45th St, Topeka, Kansas 66610.
