Ronald D. Wright

Ronald D. Wright, 77, of Topeka, Kansas, passed away on October 23, 2025, at his daughter's home in Rossville, Kansas. He was born May 25, 1948, in Topeka to Gilbert and Orinda (Costa) Wright.

Ron grew up in Topeka and graduated from Topeka West High School in 1966. Ron worked as a printer for The Topeka Capital Journal for over 30 years.

Ron married Cheryl Harrier October 18,1969; they later divorced.

Ron was an avid sports fan and especially loved cheering for the KU Jayhawks, Kansas City Royals and the Kansas City Chiefs. He volunteered for Meals on Wheels for 15 years and only stepping away recently due to declining health.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Larry D. Wright.

He is survived by his two daughters: Stacey (Todd) Perry of Rossville, Kansas and Christi (Tavis) Desormiers of Seneca, Kansas; five grandchildren; one great-grandson; and his sister-in-law, Carol Wright.

The family would like to thank Interim Healthcare and Hospice for the care and comfort they provided to Ron during his final weeks. We will forever be grateful.

A private inurnment will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Berryton, Kansas.
