Richard Todd Etzel

Richard Todd Etzel, 49, KC MO passed away Monday August 14th, 2017 at Midland Hospice in Topeka, KS. He was born October 23rd, 1967 at HAFB, Utah, the son of Richard Terry Etzel and Randy (Etzel) DeMoss. Richard graduated from Topeka West High School, Topeka, KS in 1986, prior to moving to KC, MO. He worked at Farmers Insurance in KC, KS for 15 years. He loved his job and made many good friends. Richard (Todd) was an avid bowler, KC Royals fan, and enjoyed all kinds of music. He was quick witted and loved to make people laugh. He loved animals and they loved him. He had a great heart and was his mom's best friend. He is survived by his loving mother, Randy (Etzel) DeMoss, step-father Dean DeMoss, his father Richard Terry Etzel (Karen), Tuscon, AZ, grandmothers Maurine Etzel, Washington, UT, and Beth Olsen, Bountiful, UT, step-brother Shane (Michele) DeMoss, sister Catilyn Etzel, brothers Stephen and Nicholas Etzel. A "50" Birthday party and celebration of his life will be held Saturday, October 21st, 2017 at his mother's home (8025 SW 37th St, Topeka KS) at 4:00pm where his family will greet friends and relatives.
