Eugene (Gene) Glenn was born to Newton and Clara (Lamberson) Glenn in Sabetha (they passed away too soon). The Glenn kids were raised around the Holton and Circleville area. Gene was a "Good Ole Boy" with honest values and love for life! His road took many turns, but he never ventured far from his country roots. He married Tracy Goodman (his blue eyes) in 1983 and lived in Topeka. He had a gentle caring soul tending to his wife while working until her passing in 2006. He took an early retirement from the City Street Department where he worked as a laborer and maintenance person in 2008 after 37 years. He enjoyed fishing as often as he could. He loved dogs, children, watching sports on television and rides in the countryside. A soft, well mannered character that like to laugh at little things and carry on to the best of his abilities to help all his family members because he promised Mother that he would. His younger brother, Gary made his journey to Heaven in 2015. His sisters Lea Morgan and Carol (Ray) Peet always looked up to him as the leader. He leaves behind his nieces Tamra (Guy) and Erin Habig (Bryce Golightley), nephew Toby (Sarah) Morgan, niece Dena (Bill) Norman and Dominic, nephew Bud Peet with Samantha, niece Kimberly (Glenn) Hall with Tia and Zach, nephew Brandon Peet (Kendra) and Paxton. Gary's children, Travis, Susan, Jerry with Rebekkah, Newton and Clinton. Also, many more nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He knew that he was loved. He will be greatly missed by all those he shared time with. Per his wishes he was cremated and will reside in his family plot. Thanks to all those that knew him and brightened his life as we know that he did theirs. In lieu of flowers, or donations and in honor of him, please grab a cup of coffee and enjoy the sunrise. Just spend time with your loved ones every chance that you have.
